LaTeX To Image provides a browser-based LaTeX equation rendering and image export tool at latextoimg.com.

Browser-Local Rendering

The core conversion feature is designed to run in your browser. When you type or paste a LaTeX equation, MathJax renders the formula on your device. PNG, JPG, JPEG, and SVG exports are generated locally through browser APIs. We do not upload your formulas or generated equation images to our servers for conversion.

The site may still load application code, fonts, analytics scripts, and static assets from our hosting or configured service providers. Those requests may expose normal technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, and timestamps.

Information We Collect

We do not require an account, login, or payment to use the tool.

We may process:

  • Technical usage data from hosting, CDN, security, and analytics services.
  • Browser preference data such as theme or language settings.
  • Recent formulas stored in your own browser localStorage.
  • Email address and message content if you contact us directly.

Recent Formulas And URL Sharing

Recent formulas are stored only in localStorage on the browser and device where you use the tool. You can clear them by clearing site data in your browser.

Share URLs may include the formula and appearance settings in the URL query string. Anyone who receives that URL can see the formula and settings embedded in it. Do not create or share URLs for confidential formulas unless you are comfortable exposing that information in the link.

Analytics

The site may include optional Google Analytics and Plausible Analytics integrations. These services only load when their environment variables are configured. Analytics may help us understand page visits, referrers, device types, and general usage patterns.

Cookies And Local Storage

The site may use cookies or local storage to remember theme, language, and recent formula data. Analytics providers may also use cookies or similar technologies depending on their configuration.

Advertising

The first release does not load live advertising scripts by default. If Google AdSense or another advertising provider is enabled in the future, third party vendors, including Google, may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to users based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. Advertising providers may also use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, browser identifiers, device information, and similar technologies to deliver, measure, and personalize ads.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings. Users may also be able to opt out of some third party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

If advertising is enabled, we will keep this section updated with the providers and data practices that apply to the site.

Data Retention

LaTeX formulas and generated images are not stored by us for conversion because processing happens locally in your browser. Recent formulas may remain in your browser localStorage until you clear them. Contact emails and technical logs may be retained for as long as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

Third-Party Services

Our service may rely on hosting, CDN, analytics, and email providers. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export personal data. To make a request, contact us at the email below.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
